Summary of changes

There is minimal change to the Combined Bachelor of Theology / Ministry. No course changes negatively impact the progress of existing students.

• The course now consists of three levels of units (5, 6, 7) rather than just two levels (300, 400).
  Units completed at 300 level prior to 2020 are deemed to be equivalent at Level 5.
  Units completed at 400 level prior to 2020 are deemed to be completed at Level 7.
• A greater proportion of the course can be completed using Level 5 units than the previous course regulations permitted, offering greater flexibility of unit choices to students.
• Old Testament and New Testament introduction units can now be completed through completion of two OT and NT units (as per previous course structure), or can now be completed through single OT and NT overview units, complemented by Biblical Theology or Hermeneutics units.
• There is greater flexibility for undertaking Philosophy & Ethics (PE) units
• Fewer specific unit field requirements within the primary discipline of Bible and Theology units, and greater flexibility of unit selection. For example, only three set text books are required instead of the previous five units, although students can still choose to complete several as part of the course.

Transition arrangements

No special transition arrangements are required for existing students. All existing credit achieved by existing students will be multiplied by three to transition to the new credit point structure.
